How does it work

Discover how the technology of Lazarillo Services works and make your spaces accessible to all.

Make your spaces more accessible with the technology of Lazarillo Services and deliver more precise information to your visitors.

We establish the position of the visitor in your facilities

  • Lazarillo’s systems allow you to establish the position of the visitors within your facilities, thanks to the elevation of planimetric information and function of the space; thus, we create a virtual map of it, associated with smart databases. At the same time it determines its location, thanks to the use of the smartphone’s GPS (in case of open spaces or outdoors) and through the use of beacons (in the case of interior spaces), which are transformed into marks of position inside the place when emitting a bluetooth signal, which is detected by LazarilloApp, triangulating the position of the visitor.

What are the beacons?

  • Beacons are small autonomous devices that emit a bluetooth signal that can be detected by smartphones, turning into beacons that transmit information to their surroundings.

How is the visitor's position established in interior spaces?

  1. The beacon sends an identifier that LazarilloApp detects.

  2. The App consults the Lazarillo’s database by sending the identifier.

  3. Lazarillo’s system returns the evironment’s information to the App.

  4. The App delivers the information to the user through audible messages and on-screen information.

Universal accessibility in information

  • Lazarillo offers an inclusive accessibility solution, as it provides contextual information and guidance in interior spaces to anyone, but it is specially optimized to provide adequate information to people with visual or hearing disability and reduced mobility.

We allow people with visual disability to explore by audibly receiving the visual content of the place while moving around.

To people with reduced mobility, we provide information of accessible routes, indicating the right path to travel without problems.

For people with hearing disabilities, we give them information about the places, services and any relevant data, through videos in sign language and subtitles.

How do the visitors know that they can use Lazarillo?

  • We know that for this solution to be useful for your visitors, we must identify:

    • The accessibility of your space
    • How Lazarillo can help them

Currently, people with visual disabilities are the most difficult visitors to report, due to their inability to access visual information; however, they already use LazarilloApp to move around the city, having continuity in their use when entering an accessible space. In addition, to inform visitors in general, Lazarillo installs a seal of accessibility in the entrance of your facilities and generates a notification in the system's inbox of your smartphones, without needing to have the application installed thanks to the use of physical web technology, inviting people to download it, as well as informing them about the solution.
